Preparatory course

We will confirm your future goals before enrollment, advise you on suitable schools or destinations based on your aspirations, and support you towards your acceptance.

April semester: 2-year course
October semester: 1 year and 6 months course

Required application documents for admission

Documents prepared by the student

  1. A copy of his/her passport (if they have visited Japan in the past, please include the immigration record)
  2. Admission application form (form designated by the school)
  3. Curriculum Vitae and statement of reasons for attending school (form specified by the school)
  4. Final education diploma
  5. Certificate of Enrollment and Certificate of Leave of Absence
  6. Pass certificate of Japanese Language Proficiency Test N5 or above, or Japanese language study certificate
  7. 8 photos (taken within 3 months, 4cm x 3cm)
Preparing documents for a guarantorResident outside of Japan

  1. Bank balance certificate (issued by bank)
  2. Certificate of employment and business registration certificate
  3. Family register (document that proves the relationship with the student)
Resident of Japan

  1. Residence tax or income tax payment certificate
  2. Certificate of enrollment or certified copy of corporate register
  3. Statement of financial support (form designated by the school)
  4. Seal registration certificate
  5. Bank balance certificate (may be required)
When the student pays for the accommodation expenses
  1. Bank balance certificate (in your name)
  2. Original certificate of employment or business registration certificate

Notes

  • Documents must be prepared within 6 months before being submitted to the Immigration Bureau.
  • Certificates are valid for 3 months.
  • Only original diplomas will be accepted.
  • The applicant must fill in the documents in block letters using a ballpoint pen or fountain pen.
  • When correcting documents, do not use correction fluid, but draw two lines and stamp the correction mark.

Resume

  1. When writing your educational background, write in the order of elementary school, junior high school, and high school. Write the name of the school, location, date of admission, and date of graduation clearly (Substitute writing is not allowed).
  2. If your child is under 6 years old and has entered elementary school, please submit a living record book.
  3. If there is a gap in the 12-year school education, an explanation is required.
    (Fill in your academic background and work history without gaps. Be sure to fill in the exam preparation period and military service period.)

Statement of reason for admission

Please describe in detail your motivation (purpose and necessity) for studying and your future plans after graduation. The applicant must fill in the form himself/herself.

  • If the application documents are incomplete, the application will not be accepted.
  • Admission fee, tuition fee, and other expenses are subject to change due to circumstances, so please check in advance.
  • As a general rule, we do not refund the tuition fees you have paid. However, if there is a valid reason, it may be refunded.

Visa application

Student visa

In general, the status of residence for those who receive Japanese language education at a Japanese language educational institution is student visa.
Students who wish to study at our school for a long period of time are required to obtain this student visa.

When obtaining a student visa

  1. Those who have completed 12 years or more of formal education (institutions vary by country) and other similar school education in their home country.
  2. Those who have completed a secondary education course in their home country, which is a qualification for admission to a university, etc.
    (High school graduates or those with qualifications equivalent to high school graduates.)
    (Those who have completed 12 years or more of school education if they wish to enter a Japanese university.)
  3. Applicants must have Japanese language proficiency equivalent to CEFR A1 or higher (with 150 hours of class time) at the time of enrollment application.
  4. Those who have a guarantor while staying in Japan or their home country.

Study period

Features of a student visa

  • You are allowed to work part-time. (within 28 hours per week).
  • Since the purpose of this visa is to study Japanese, the attendance rate must not fall below 80%.
  • If you wish to study for more than one year, you will be eligible for National Health Insurance. If you get it, you can receive treatment at 30% of the medical expenses incurred.
