✨Visit to Kagayaki no Mori Kindergarten✨
On January 14th, I visited Kagayaki no Mori Kindergarten in Kawai Town and spent time with the Tsuki Class 🌙 and Hoshi Class 🌟. First, we played a traditional New Year’s game of “kite flying” together 🎍. Some of the students who had flown kites in their home country said, “It’s been a long time!” and got really excited. It was great fun to play outside with the children 😊.
After that, I introduced Nepal and Bangladesh in the classroom. I shared about a food called “Momo” 🥟, which is similar to dumplings, and when I mentioned that I love rice 🍙 and fish 🐟, the children listened with great interest. We also did an animal sound quiz ❓ and played a game of “Murgu-ro-dai,” a one-legged sumo game, which everyone enjoyed and had a lot of fun with!
Both the Tsuki Class and Hoshi Class had sparkling, bright smiles 💕. To end the visit, I gifted a Nepali song and some origami 🎁 as a farewell.
The main goal was to practice using Japanese in different situations and with various people, but above all, I was so happy to interact with the children in Japanese. I was surprised by how well-behaved the Japanese children were, and after returning to the classroom, I reflected on how this connects to the teachers’ lessons about following rules and keeping time.
A big thank you to the teachers and children of Kagayaki no Mori Kindergarten for this precious opportunity 💓.
