【Joined the 2nd Sango-cho Sports Festival – Challenge Your Limits! 🏃‍♂️✨】

On Saturday, October 11, students from Howdy Japanese Language School Nara participated in the 2nd Sango-cho Sports Festival – Challenge Your Limits!, held at the Chuo Park multipurpose field 🏃‍♂️

Five first-year students who had just arrived in Japan and three senior students took part in events such as tug-of-war, the 50-meter dash, and ground golf!
It was a fun-filled day full of smiles and cheers, as they sweated it out with local residents and children ✨

One of the most memorable moments was during the tug-of-war, when local children loudly cheered, “Howdy! Howdy!” 📣
In the final match, “Team Howdy vs. All the Kids,” the competition was intense, and the whole venue erupted in excitement thanks to the kids’ incredible effort 💪🔥

For most students, it was their first time playing ground golf. They enjoyed the game with guidance and kindness from local participants.
Some students were even reunited with elementary school children they had visited just the day before, exchanging warm greetings on the field.

Through sports, a special kind of communication blossomed—one that transcended language.
Many students said it made them feel, “I want to speak more Japanese!”

To the people of Sango-cho —thank you so much for your warm welcome!
We look forward to continuing to build connections with smiles and friendship in the local community 😊
