Happy New Year! π
Happy New Year! π
Wishing you all the best for this year.
At Howdy Japanese Language School Nara, classes started on January 7th, and our international students are attending school energetically, not letting the cold weather stop them! β¨
On the first day, the students in the graduation classes (Group 1 and Group 2) challenged themselves with kakizome (the first calligraphy of the year)! They thought about their wishes or their favorite kanji, and with calm hearts, they faced the blank paper. During the preparatory session, they learned how to hold and move the brush through water calligraphy. Although they were nervous for the real thing, everyone was happy with the kanji they wrote.
Additionally, all the students visited Tatsuta Taisha Shrine for the New Yearβs shrine visit (Hatsumode) β©οΈ. The historical shrine is close to our school, and for some of the new students, it was their first time visiting. Those who wished to pray did so, asking for happiness in the year ahead.
This year, our Nara campus will celebrate its first-ever graduation ceremony in March. We look forward to growing together with our international students throughout the year!
