We visited Sango Kita Elementary School as guests🏫

On October 9th, all students from Class 4 visited Sango Kita Elementary School.

In the 5th-grade integrated learning program at Sango Kita Elementary School, students are learning to meet foreign residents living in Japan, understand different cultures, and think about how people from various backgrounds live together. As part of this program, students from Howdy Japanese Language School Nara, who live in the same town, were invited as guest teachers to assist in the learning process.

There were 115 fifth-graders! In front of this large group, the students each gave presentations about Nepal and Bangladesh. Using large slides with photos and demonstrating traditional games from their respective countries, they worked hard to explain their cultures.

The elementary school students listened attentively and with great interest. Later, when we were shown their notes, they had carefully written down everything about the presentations given by the international students.

During the remaining time, the international students approached the elementary students and enjoyed free conversation. Some students explained how to play a game called “Tungi” using rubber bands, answered questions that hadn’t been asked during the main presentation, and even wrote the students’ names in Nepali or Bengali.

At the end, the elementary students expressed their thanks loudly, and many of them asked for autographs. The international students seemed to feel a sense of accomplishment. We heard feedback like, “Today was a really fun day,” “I want to come back again,” and “I’m so glad I could visit the elementary school.” Since we live in the same town, we hope to have more opportunities to meet and talk in the future.

We are deeply grateful to the teachers and students of Sango Kita Elementary School for giving us this valuable experience. We hope this will lead to further exchanges in the future.

We are currently recruiting Japanese language teachers.

We are looking for individuals who can think freely without being confined to the conventional concepts of existing Japanese language schools and who are willing to join us in creating a new school together.
