✈️🌏 I Went Back to Hungary! vol.2 ~Summer Means Lake Balaton!~
Here’s the next part of N’s trip back home to Hungary ✨
Hungary is a landlocked country, so when summer comes, everyone heads to Lake Balaton 🏖️☀️
People enjoy swimming in the lake and make the most of the short summer season 😊
So, we set off for Lake Balaton too 🚗💨
This time, we were going to stay at a hotel surrounded by vineyards, run by one of my husband’s friends, so I was really excited!
But then!!
The speed limit on the highway is 130 km/h 😳💦
Everyone drives pretty aggressively, and honestly, it was really scary… 😅
By the way, even on regular roads outside urban areas, the speed limit is 90 km/h—quite different from Japan 🚗
Now, about the hotel. It stood all by itself in the middle of a huge vineyard, with the lake visible in the distance 🍇✨
In summer, it stays light until around 8 p.m., so we could eat outside, read in a hammock 📖, play with the dog 🐕, and simply enjoy a wonderfully relaxing time 😊
Lake Balaton was also nearby, so we went there every day 🏖️
The water was cold, but the lake had a sandy bottom and was shallow, so even children could enjoy it. There were also lots of beautiful parks nearby, some with impressive playground equipment 🌳✨
It was perfect for families with children. And best of all, it was free—what a blessing! 🙏✨
After spending a week there, I completely understood why everyone heads to Lake Balaton in the summer ☀️
