πΌ Visit to Leimond Hills Nursery School πΌ
On July 10, thirteen students from Class 4 visited Leimond Hills Nursery School in Sango Town. π
It has been three months since they arrived in Japan, and this was their very first opportunity to interact with Japanese children. The students were both excited and a little nervous. ππ
The children warmly welcomed them with handmade welcome boards and the flags of each student’s home country. They also sang the Japanese song “Medaka no GakkΕ (The School of Medaka Fish)” as a special gift. π΅β¨
The warm welcome quickly helped everyone relax, and the room soon filled with laughter as they enjoyed quizzes about foods from different countries and played games together. π
One of the highlights was a French game called “Un, Deux, Trois, Soleil,” which is similar to the Japanese game “Daruma-san ga Koronda” (“Red Light, Green Light”). After playing together, some students smiled and said,
“The children are even better than we are!” ππ
The students also learned traditional Japanese games such as Kagome Kagome and Handkerchief Drop. During free play, everyone enjoyed spending time together while sharing their own talents and interests. π€
The students happily told us,
“I made a new friend!” π
“They drew a picture of us!” π¨
Before leaving, the children gave each student a handmade fan as a special gift. ππ
On the way back to school, the students said,
“Today was the happiest day since I came to Japan.” π
“I don’t want to go home.” π₯Ή
“I wish we could spend time with the children every monthβor even every week!” β¨
Their visit became a truly unforgettable experience, filled with smiles, friendship, and wonderful memories.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Raymond Hills Nursery School for your warm hospitality. π
We would also love to welcome you to our Cultural Festival on July 30! ππ
