πTanabataπ~ Wishing Upon Colorful Tanzaku Strips ~ π
July 7 is Tanabata, also known as the Star Festival. πβ¨
This year, we once again decorated the school with bamboo branches and prepared colorful tanzaku (wish strips) so that our students and staff could freely write down their wishes. πποΈ
π “I hope my Japanese will improve.”
π “I hope my dreams come true.”
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ “I hope my family will always be happy.”
Some wishes were written not only in Japanese but also in students’ native languages, each one filled with heartfelt hopes from around the world. πβ¨
In Japan, it is a long-standing tradition to write wishes on tanzaku and hang them on bamboo branches during Tanabata. π
For our international students studying in Japan, it was also a wonderful opportunity to experience one of Japan’s cherished seasonal traditions. π―π΅β¨
We sincerely hope that everyone’s wishes come true. π
