✨️Group 3 Exchange & Hands-on Learning✨️
On July 16th, students from Group 3 visited Raymond Ikaruga Kodomoen (children’s center).
They were filled with excitement and a bit of nervousness as they approached their first visit to a Japanese children’s center.
After introducing themselves, the day was packed with a variety of activities: a true-or-false quiz about different countries, interactive games, various play corners, singing, and dancing!
During the children’s self-introductions, they greeted the students in Nepali and Bengali, saying “My name is ~” in their native languages. The students were deeply moved by this moment.
The country quiz was a hit, with lots of excitement and participation from the children who clearly enjoyed it!
In small groups, they enjoyed drawing, playing with Kapla blocks, and pretending to serve tea in a traditional “tea ceremony” play.
The students also introduced traditional games from their home countries: “Tungi” from Nepal 🚩 and “Ichin Bichin” from Bangladesh 🏴.
The Bangladeshi game, in particular, was a big hit and had everyone playing enthusiastically until the very end! 😆
For many of these students, it was their first time interacting with Japanese children.
They found it even more fun than they had imagined, and it was a valuable and inspiring experience 💖
A big thank you to the teachers and staff at Raymond Ikaruga Kodomoen for warmly welcoming us and making this exchange possible.
